Ramya Is it possible a Office 2003 update released in Jan could be exibiting a similar issue to that of I have been investigating a little further and this is what I have found: Only PCs that were build after Jan 27 2009 are expereicing this error. Last week, Security updates were sucessfully deployed to over 7000 clients. After Office 2003 SP3 and viewers are uninstalled from an affected machine, the WSUS scans without any errors and starts installing updates. But as soon as you install Office 2003 the scan errors appear.

This is consistant with all our Dev, Preprod and Prod environments. The following is the SCCM and WSUS versions of our environments: DEV SCCM SP1 & R2, WSUS 3.0 SP1 Preprod SCCM SP1 & R2, WSUS 3.0 SP1 Prod SCCM RTM, WSUS 3.0 I am happy to send you the logs from our SCCM servers. Hi Nilanga, just check a newly built machine and yes, the scan fails! These machines are, in theory, built to the same patch state as existing prod machines though, so I don't understand what's breaking them. The only difference I can think of is these machines haven't been upgraded from SMS2 2003.
